EliminX

Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This policy explains how EliminX handles personal data. The data controller for organiser accounts and platform data is [OWNER_NAME], trading as [TRADING_NAME], [ADDRESS]. Contact: [CONTACT_EMAIL]. For the player details in a league, the league's organiser decides what to enter, and we process it for them.

1. What we collect

  • Organiser accounts: email address, password (stored securely, never readable by us), the leagues you run, your answer to "Who's running this?", and when you agreed to our Terms and Disclaimer.
  • League details: what organisers enter, such as player names, picks, paid/unpaid status, league settings and branding.
  • Banter and join requests: the name and message people type.
  • Anonymous device identifiers: a random ID stored in the browser, saved by us only in scrambled (hashed) form, used to count visits and keep Ask the Gaffer answers for that device.
  • Usage records: which league pages were visited and when, and which player Ask the Gaffer was asked about.
  • Ask the Gaffer: the player and gameweek asked about and the answer. The data sent to the AI is fixtures, form and that player's teams left, not personal contact details.
  • Billing records: payments are handled by Stripe. We keep your plan, payment status and Stripe reference numbers, but never your full card details.

2. Why we use it (lawful basis)

  • To provide the service you signed up for (contract).
  • To take payment and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation).
  • To show organisers that their league is being used, keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).

We don't sell data or use it for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments, and an AI provider for Ask the Gaffer answers. Each only gets what it needs to do its job. Some providers may process data outside the UK under approved safeguards.

4. How long we keep it

  • Visit and usage records: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Saved Ask the Gaffer answers: until the gameweek they're for has passed, then they may be deleted.
  • League and player details: while the league exists; organisers can delete players at any time.
  • Organiser accounts: until you ask us to close your account.
  • Billing records: 6 years, for tax law.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to or limit how we use it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Players should contact their league organiser first, or us. Contact us at [CONTACT_EMAIL]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

6. Cookies and storage

We use your browser's storage to keep you logged in, remember the anonymous device ID and remember what you've already read. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Changes

We'll update this page when things change and show the date it last changed.
